About Me - Caroline
I'm Caroline—a dancer, educator, and the founder of Inflow. My journey with dance started in the UK when I was five years old, training in classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance program. I continued until I was thirteen, and during my teenage years, I also trained and competed in gymnastics and fencing.
In 2012, I discovered Salsa, Bachata, and Brazilian Zouk, and something clicked. Just a year later, I began teaching Zouk Lambada in Copenhagen with Nicolas Nelson, and we soon found ourselves teaching and performing at international events.
To deepen my foundation in dance, I completed a one-year intensive at Sceneindgangen Dance Studio in modern dance, ballet and jazz, and later earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education from the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) in 2018. Along the way, I trained in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, West African, heels, urban, contact improvisation, bachata, as well as somatic disciplines like barre, yoga, and pilates. I believe all of these have come together in the way I teach and understand the body.
Since 2013, I've been teaching Brazilian Zouk and Lambada —first in Copenhagen, then globally. My teaching blends solid technique with creativity, expression, and strong social dance skills. I care deeply about how we move, why we move, and how we treat each other in the process. I also focus on posture, alignment, and safe movement practices so my students can dance with confidence and ease, regardless of their experience or background.
In 2020, I opened the first physical location for Inflow in Østerbro, Copenhagen—a long-time dream made real and a major step toward creating the kind of space I had always envisioned: welcoming, community-focused, and grounded in movement.
In 2023, I began collaborating with Gab, and in 2024 we officially became dance partners. Together, we created the Zouk Art Empowerment methodology—a holistic and artistic approach to Zouk that integrates solid dance technique with creative exploration, personal expression, and embodied connection. Our work is centered around making dance accessible, meaningful, and empowering for a wide range of dancers. We now teach together both at Inflow and internationally, sharing our passion for Zouk and Lambada.
In addition to my regular teaching, I’m passionate about training teachers, helping them develop both their skills and their voice. I now lead a 100-hour teacher training program at ZoukMX, and have trained local teacher teams in cities like Medellín, Colombia.
That vision has only grown. Today, I want to create a space where everyone—regardless of age, background, or ability—feels welcome to explore movement. Dance is expression, communication, meditation, community, and personal growth. It helps us understand our bodies, connect with others, and express who we are. At Inflow, that’s what we strive for every day.
