Deep-Dive: Chicote and Cambré in Zouk

Both the chicote and the cambré are linear head movements involving the spine — not just the head — and when done well, they're one of the most powerful tools for musicality and expression in Zouk. In this workshop we'll break down the technique behind each movement, work on alignment and flow, and explore how to catch the 1 and let the movement land with intention. We'll also spend time on style and expression, so the movements feel like yours rather than just a technique exercise. Expect a mix of drills, partner work, and guided practice. Suitable for dancers who know the basics and want to go deeper.
