Deep-Dive: Circular Head Movement
Wednesday July 15, 19.30-21:30

Description
Circular head movement involves the spine and requires a good understanding of articulation, momentum, and control — both for the follower executing the movement and the leader guiding it. In this workshop we'll break down the technique from the ground up, with a strong focus on safety and comfort. We'll work on spinal alignment, range of motion, and how to build the movement gradually so it feels good in the body — for both roles. Understanding how to lead and follow this movement responsibly is a big part of what we'll cover, so that everyone leaves feeling confident and taken care of. If you've done head movement classes before, it's a great chance to dive deeper into your own movement patterns and search for even more comfort and flow in your circular head movements. Expect a mix of drills, partner work, and guided practice. Suitable for dancers who know the basics and want to go deeper, you don't need head movement experience to join.
