The Toalha is a complex circular traveling head movement and the Tornado is a variation of it — built on the same foundation, but with some variation. Understanding the Toalha well is the key to unlocking the Tornado, which is why we cover both in the same workshop. We'll start by breaking down the Toalha in detail — the footwork, spinal mechanics, and how both roles contribute — before exploring how the Tornado grows out of it and what makes it distinct.
