FAQ
1. Do I need a dance partner to join classes?
No, you do not need a partner to join our classes. We welcome everyone, and we rotate partners during class so everyone gets to practice with different people. This approach builds adaptability and strengthens your dance connection.

2. I’m new to dance. Which class should I start with?
If you're new to Brazilian Zouk, we recommend starting with our Zouk Trial class or Zouk From Zero course.

3. What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes that allow free movement. Many dancers prefer dance shoes with smooth soles, but clean indoor sneakers or socks work fine too. Please do not wear outdoor shoes inside the studio.

4. How do I book a class?
You can book classes directly through our website. Go to the class schedule, choose your class, and follow the steps to register and pay. Booking in advance is recommended, as spots can fill up.

5. What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a 24-hour cancellation window for bookings. You may cancel and get a full refund within 24 hours of purchase only if the class, workshop, or event begins more than 24 hours later. Purchases made less than 24 hours before the class are binding and non-refundable.

6. Can I join a class if I’m late?
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class begins. If you’re late, you may still join, but you might miss the warm-up, which is important for injury prevention. Frequent late arrivals may affect your ability to participate.

7. Do you offer private lessons?
Yes! Private lessons are an excellent way to boost your learning with personalized attention. Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced dancer, we’ll tailor the session to your needs.

8. What is Lambada, and should I try it?
Lambada is a dynamic and energetic Brazilian dance known for its flowing hip movements and vibrant energy. It’s one of the roots of Brazilian Zouk. Our Lambada class is great for both beginners and experienced dancers.

9. Do you host social dance events?
Yes! We host Zouk & Lambada Socials—casual dance events where you can enjoy the music, meet other dancers, and practice in a relaxed, friendly setting. No partner or experience required—just come to dance and have fun!

10. What’s the difference between a class, a drop-in workshop, and an event?
-
Regular Classes
Ongoing sessions that build progressively over several weeks (e.g., Zouk From Zero). Best for consistent learning. Typically requires a course registration or membership. -
Drop-In Workshops
Single-session classes focused on a specific theme, move, or technique. Perfect for trying something new or adding depth to your dance. No long-term commitment. -
Events
Includes social dances, guest teacher weekends, intensives, or special mixers.
