Description
This class is open to dancers of all styles who want to improve their body awareness and connection. We focus on the principles of balance and counterbalance in partnerwork — giving you tools for moving with control and ease. Balance means maintaining your stability and center while dancing. Counterbalance involves using your body weight in opposition to your partner’s or your own movements, creating a dynamic tension that helps both dancers stay connected and move more fluidly together. Through partner exercises and solo work, you’ll learn how to find and use counterbalance to enhance your posture, improve your leading/following, and make your dancing feel more effortless and connected. Whether you’re new or experienced, this workshop offers practical skills to deepen your dance technique and awareness.
